Global IDs hires new Vice President of Sales of North America

NEW YORK-April 2012--Global IDs (www.globalids.com), a recognized leader of Data Governance and Master Data Management (MDM) software, today announced the appointment of Biagio Sabatino as the company’s new vice president of sales for North America. Sabatino will assume his new responsibilities effective immediately.

Sabatino will oversee direct sales efforts throughout the U.S. and Canada and will report to Rich Fiorella, senior vice president of global sales. The position is newly created as the company continues to attract more customers from the Fortune 2000 sector by offering its fully integrated product suite for corporate data governance and MDM needs. Sabatino will continue to build the sales arm of the company and strengthen its visibility in numerous vertical markets such as financial services, healthcare, and government, among others. He also stated that he thinks the development of several new offerings, including cloud- and appliance-based solutions, by Global IDs, will help to propel the company to an even greater position of leadership in the marketplace.

Biagio has more than 20 years experience in the information technology (IT) industry. Most recently, and prior to his appointment at Global IDs, Sabatino was a client partner at Knowledgent Group, Inc. Before that, he spent more than 10 years at EMC Corporation and one of its divisions, BusinessEdge Solutions, Inc. in various capacities including consulting, sales, operations, account management, and business unit management and startup.

He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey).
