Global IDs' technology strategy was furthered in December 2009, when the firm received approval of a patent for a system and method of data integration using multidimensional, associative unique identifiers. Bloor Research Compares Data Quality Software

Sticking strictly to our brief of limiting our considerations to combined data profiling and data cleansing/matching products, possibly with data governance as well, then we view Global IDs, Trillium and Informatica as the leading products in this category. While we particularly like Global IDs’ product suite (which is extensive) the company is, geographically limited and a relatively small company to boot, so users may prefer a solution from Informatica or Trillium for general purpose use.

Bloor Research Compares Data Cleansing Software

Global IDs has introduced a matching engine that supports algorithms based on bipartite graphs (which provide all-versus-all comparisons). For name and address cleansing we particularly like Netrics and Global IDs. Of course, all the mainstream vendors will do a decent job in this area. If you need both name and address and product cleaning/matching then DataFlux, along with Trillium, is a good bet, as is Global IDs.

Bloor Research Compares Data Profiling Software

There are three camps within which data profiling vendors fall; those that only offer data profiling, those that focus exclusively on data quality, and those that offer broader sets of capabilities. Global IDs falls in the third category. Of the smaller players we would single out Exeros, Global IDs, Sypherlink and x88 as the leading innovators in this market.
